Handgun Tactics Level I

The Handgun Tactics 1 Course is an all day course and is fast paced. This course is specifically designed for those who already possess a concealed carry permit.

Course Requirements and Cost:

Cost is $100, must be paid prior the day of the course by cash,CC or money order.


You will need to bring 500 rounds of ammunition.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Although possession of a concealed carry license is not a requirement, it is imperative that you have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of shooting.

KentuckyConcealed Carry Deadly Weapons Permit Course

Note: You must live in the State of Kentucky to apply and receive a Kentucky CCDW permit. If you live in Ohio, you will need to sign up for the Ohio CCDW Course.

Course Requirements:

  • Residency in the State of Kentucky                   
  • 6 Hours of Classroom Training.
  • 2 Hours Range Training.
  • You will need 50 rounds of factory ammunition for this course – no reloads.
  • Handgun of your choice (preferably one you are comfortable / familiar with)
  • Pack a lunch (we will have a working lunch)

OHIO CCW PERMIT COURSE

You MUST live in Ohio to take this class in order to obtain your Ohio CCW permit. If you live in Kentucky, you must take the Kentucky CCDW permit course.


NOTE: See the bottom of this page on how to obtain two permits by taking one course.

Course Requirements:

  • You must live in Ohio to apply and receive this permit                   
  • 6 Hours Classroom Training
  • 2 Hours Range Training
  • You will need 50 rounds of factory ammunition for this course – no reloads.


Course Contents:

Ohio law requires at least 8 hours of certified training in the following subject matters:

  • The ability to name, explain and demonstrate the rules for safe handling of a handgun and proper storage practices for handguns and ammunition;
  • The ability to demonstrate and explain how to handle ammunition in a safe manner;
  • The ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner;
  • Gun-handling training.

Florida- Obtaining two permits for one:

***This course also qualifies you to obtain a Florida non-resident concealed carry permit should you choose. Most students choose to obtain both the Ohio and Florida permits since the Florida permit was typically recognized in more states than the Ohio permit. They are even on states with reciprocity at this time 03MAR2016. We will cover in class the steps to take to obtain a FL permit.
